( Bantul, August 3, 2011) – Timor Leste national football team have shown a great performance and they are able to draw with Persiba Bantul. Emmanuel Nonny unshackle his team from lossing; he scored a goal at 74 minutes, at 10 minutes earlier he substituted for Sidonio Augusto De Jesus. Timor Leste selecao have surprised their opponent when they score early goal. Charles da Costa, a Bullen Lions of Australia’s striker manage breaking Persiba’s defense and contribute scoring early goal at 9 minutes. The table was turn when Udo Fortune score at 36 minutes; at the end of the first half of the match Persiba and Timor Leste was drawn. The second was resume. At 51 minutes another attack goal from Persiba had Timor Leste defense unsecured. Choirul Anam of Persiba Bantul who score a goal at 1 minutes. ( Dili, July 13, 2011) – Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) and Federacao de Futebol de Timor Leste (FFTL) are working together to developed a better football in Timor Leste by setting a football club in Brazil. Marco Antonio Teixeira a General Secretary for CBF, ” We will put Timorese football club at Campeonato Paulista Série A2 in São Paulo on first year ” He added, ” Timorese football club will have 5 years trial at Brazilian Football League ; In order to continued their stay at Brazilian Football League after 5 years, they have to qualify at Campeonato Brasileiro Série C or D “. Osorio Florindo a vice president for FFTL is the chairman for Futebol Atletismo Sociais de Timorense São Paulo ( FAST São Paulo). Walter Mariano will be chairman partner of FAST São Paulo, he’s successful businessman in São Paulo and a friend of Osorio Florindo. FAST São Paulo will selected 50 players ( 25 for senior and another 25 for U-23 & Youth) in Timor Leste, also include oversea players who have the Timorese roots. Gelasio Da Silva Carvalho a selected manager of FAST, ” We want to select the best players in Timor Leste and also including oversea players so they can do well at Brazilian Football League”. FAST and FFTL have choiced Clodoaldo to be the coach of FAST and Jason Cabral ( former Portuguese player and coach) the assistant coach. Clodoaldo will only have two years contract with FAST but Jason Cabral have five years contract with FAST. Osorio Florindo describe that FAST is a football club for Timorese national football team (Senior and U-23), this club will help to developed our player’s experience and performance out of the country. ” I believe FAST will be a great help in developing football at Timor Leste and good preparation for ASEAN or Asian football competition “ Osorio added. Timor Leste thrashed Guam U-23

(Darwin, AUS, June 28, 2011) An excellent performance by Timor Leste Under-23 National Football Team who thrashed Guam’s defensed. Although Guam U-23 play well on the first half of the match, the team were unable to return and many mistakes were committed. On the hands, Timor Leste was surprised when Guam opened the first goal in 14 minutes by Scott Guerrero a midfielder. Akao a Timorese midfielder take avenged for his team by scoring a goal in 27 minutes. Guam U-23 have miscommunication with their goalkeeper; Edward Calvo tackle his opponent, haul the ball from them and he pass the ball to Kalen Lizama who was not concentrating during that moment. Edward kick the ball high that Kalen Lizama could not save the ball from entering the goalpost. Timor Leste U-23 was rewarded a free goal from Guam in 34 minutes. In 42 minutes before the first half of match was over, Josh Bajikur head the ball into the goalpost during the corner kick. In second half of the match, Guam U-23 players create many fouls especially the defenders and midfielder. Cadiz Bumagat who earn two yellow card in the second half of the match. Cadiz a Guam’s defender tripped Asanco’s leg. Asanco did not get hurt from his falling but his team were awarded a penalty kick. Emillio Olivyera the captain of Timorese U-23 score the penalty kick in 68 minutes. Asanco was substituted by Yudda Ardisaputra in 75 minutes. Yudda thrashed Guam U-23 in 87 minutes when he score the last goal. ” I am very happy my team performance tonight, it was unbelievable that many goals was score exclude the own goal by Guam’s defender” said Marcos Falopa coach of Timor Leste U-23.

( Kathmandu, Nepal, June 22, 2011)- Timor Leste Men National Football Team have finally win their first match. It’s a celebration for the selecao who did the impossible. Timor Leste have beaten Bhutan U-23 team, scoring 4 :1. Anggisu Barbosa is the one who opened the first goal for his country in the 24 minutes at the first half of the match. Later in 32 minutes chaos was created by Tashi Tubgay a Bhutan player who was foul for his violence conduct. Tashi Tubgay deliberately stump and push away Quito. Quito was badly bruise in his feet; he was sent out from the game and replace by Felipinho Nessa. Tashi Tubgay receive a red card to leave the match. Timor Leste was awarded a penalty kick. The captain of Timor Leste, Eusebio score a goal in the penalty kick. In last 2 minutes of the first half of the match, Wangchuk a Bhutan midfielder score a goal. The second half of the match, Timor Leste dominated the game. The Seleccao were organized team and very energetic, keeping the front line and back secure and controllable. The rookies, Torres Vidigal (V.Torres) make daring score, he kicked the ball high from 28 meters from the goal post. The ball landed in left side of the goal post at 62 minutes. Hari Gurung a Bhutan Goalkeeper cannot save the goal from V.Torres because it was high to reach it. Chris Nunes added the last goal for Timor Leste in 83 minutes. ” The Selecao had shown a progress in this match; However, i hope they can do the same when they face Nepal at the World Cup Qualification which start next week” said Antonio Carlos Viera (Coach Timor Leste). ” I am not surprise at all, i knew Bhutan is going to lose but i was not hoping that my player receive a red card. We did a lot of mistake and we have only 10 players on the field that why we loss this evening” said the disappointed Hiroaki Matsuyama ( Coach Bhutan U-23).

A New Victory of Timor Leste U-23

(Darwin, AUS, June 13, 2011)- Timor Leste Under 23 football team have reaches the highest achievement in international football stage. The team won against Fiji U-23 football team last night in friendly match ; Yudda Ardisaputra and Fidel Santos who bravely accomplished the victory of team. Yudda Ardisaputra broke Fijian’s silence in 33 minutes when he opened the first goal in the first half of the game. The Seleccao were organized team and very energetic, keeping the front line and back secure and controllable. In second of half the game during the first 13 minutes Fidel Santos of Timor Leste u-23 courageously defeated the 3 defenders’ defense line and score a beautiful goal. Parmesh Prasad a Fijian goalkeeper missed saving the second goal attempt from the Timorese seleccao. The night was not over for Fijian Bula Boys. In 81 min, Jone Vono make comeback for the Fijian u-23 football team when he finally score a goal for his country. The Fijian did good performance but Timor Leste seleccao was the team who won the match. ” The seleccao really accomplished their first victory of the International Football Stage, it’s outstanding job from every each players” said the proud coach Falopa of Timor Leste.

The Seleccao will be playing against Nepal on 29 June, 2011 and 3 July, 2011 at Dasarath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal. Both Leg ( Home/ Away) will be played in Kathmandu, Nepal due to lack of technical infrastructure in Dili, Timor Leste. Timorese football team will be arriving at Kathmandu, Nepal on June 17, 2011. Amandio Sarmento, a general secretary of Federaco de Futebol de Timor Leste have request a friendly match with Bhutan National Football Team. The friendly match with Bhutan is set on June 22, 2011 at Wednesday’s afternoon.”Our mission is to win at least one match so we could have better ranking in FIFA” said the General Secretary of FFTL. Federacao de Futebol de Timor Leste have set up two-legged friendly Matches with Indonesia National Football team(Timnas) on August 8 and August 10, 2011 at Maguwoharjo Stadium in Sleman, Indonesia. Last time when they meet, Indonesia win against Timor Leste with 6:0 in November 24, 2010. Coach Antonio Carlos Viera, the new coach of the Timorese Seleccao, think the seleccao will do much better than last year because his players had work hard in the training camp. “My Players is ready to win and defense their proud country” said Viera. 2014 FWCQ Timor Leste :Nepal

The FIFA World Cup Qualification had just announced the draw for the Asians football teams. Timor Leste were put against Nepal, the Himalayas Nation. Nepal whose rank only 172 ; meanwhile, Timor Leste only rank 201. The first leg of this tournament will be at in Kathmandu, Nepal which have 42 degrees in temperature. This is a challenge for Timorese players who live in humid and hot weather. The first leg are set in June 29. 2011. Orlando Mendes, a deputy general of Federacao de Futebol de Timor Leste said that, our players will be warm by wearing a long sleeve football shirt and we will arrive in Nepal, two weeks earlier so that we could use to the weather in Nepal. Timor Leste seleccao’s preparation for this world cup, would start in April 27, 2011; They are going to spent their training in Dili for three weeks and then they go to Jogjakarta for training and exhibition games with Indonesia’s football clubs. 29 Players will be participated in the World Cup squad, 16 players are from overseas and 13 players from local. This squad will be using Maguwoharjo Stadium, which hold 30,000 capacities, for training and second leg. Coach Antonio Carlos Viera will be joining the seleccao in April 25, 2011. Adidas and TAÇA Digicel, Kit deal until 2021

Adidas has issue partnership with the newest football league in World, TAÇA Digicel, a football league from Timor Leste. Adidas will have 10 year partnership with TAÇA Digicel.The partnership extends adidas’ position as the official athletic sponsor and product supplier for TAÇA Digicel through 2021.Core to the new agreement is a dedicated focus on youth development and programming to help shape the future of the sport in the newest millennium country, Timor Leste. In addition, Adidas has donated 5 million dollar (US Dollar) to Federacao de Futebol de Timor Leste (FFTL) toward their development. 14 teams will wear their new kit from adidas in the new season of 2011 at next month, April. The 14 teams are Ad. Aileu, Ad. Ainaro, Ad. Baucau, Ad. Bobonero, Ad. Cova Lima, Ad. Dili Leste, Ad. Dili Oeste, Ad. Ermera, Ad. Lautem, Ad. Liquica, Ad. Manatuto, Ad. Manufahi, Ad. Oecusse, and Ad. Viqueque. Adidas Company will also expanded to Timor Leste ; Adidas store and factory will be created in Baucau. TAÇA Digicel have been doing well in Timor Leste football; players have performance and played well. Last year winner Ad. Dili Leste was brought to the national team. Players in Ad. Dili Leste played in the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup; they have good experience but the team were on the fourth last table, they did not make it to next round.

U-23 Seleccao is back with new fresh page; from the coach to the players. In addition, Federacao de Futebol de Timor Leste(FFTL) has finally permitted U-23 Seleccao to go training camp in Darwin, Australia. Players will be gathering in Timor Leste in May, and then they will go to Darwin, Australia. 24 players will be playing in AFF U-23 Cup and SEA Games, which both held in Palembang, Indonesia. AFF U-23 Cup will start on July 18-24, 2011 and SEA Games start on November 2011. New Timor Leste U-23 Coach, Marcos Falopa (Brazilian) have said, Timor Leste have Potential to be success in football. He added the key points in Good training and friendly match before the big competition, AFF U-23. FFTL have set friendly match with 5 football clubs in Football Federation of Northern Territory (FFNT), Australia. The Boys will spend their time in June at Darwin Football Stadium in Marrara, Australia. Marcos Falopa is famous for the success in the SEA Game 2007, where Myanmar won Silver. He hopes he could do the same in Timor Leste. “I think Timor Leste could win in Bronze at 2011 SEA Games” Falopa deemed.

2014 FIFA WCQ (AFC) round one fixture

This Summer the Asian teams will competed in the World Cup Qualification which took place in June 29 to July 28. This format would begin with two sets of two-leg knock-out qualification rounds – the first held on 29 June and 3 July 2011 and the second on 23 and 28 July – before 20 teams advanced to a group stage. Ahmed Kadiir, a guy who’s in charge of the draw of the FIFA World Cup Qualification have already set up the fixture for round one. The Ceremonies of the official draw of the FIFA WCQ will start 3 week laters in the Beginning of March.
